Talk about one sweet event. Nine of Peterborough’s finest bakers and chefs offered up samples of their sugary treats tonight at The Venue. The inaugural “Sugar Rush” event is a fundraiser for Peterborough GreenUP. Visitors were treated to everything from luscious looking meringues and macrons, to confections made from…cricket flour. And yes, that’s made from real, sustainably-sourced crickets. Chefs could bring a dessert of their choice to share. The only catch…it had to have an environmental theme.
