Community Cycling Programs

Discover the joy of city cycling in Peterborough!

Our courses provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to ride comfortably in traffic. You receive personalized advice about equipment, bike fit, and route planning (including an introduction to Peterborough’s network of trails and paths!). Our workshops on basic bicycle maintenance and repair allow you to address common mechanical failures with confidence.

Led by a friendly bike expert, these workshops will run through the things you need to know to feel safe, comfortable, and happy on your own two wheels.

All courses will be taught by the experienced cycling instructors and/or bicycle mechanics from B!KE: the Peterborough Community Cycling Hub and GreenUP.

Unfortunately, no courses are currently available at this time.

Program History

B!KE and GreenUP have been working collaboratively to increase cycling access and education programming in the Peterborough region since 2012. This collaborative project aims to support people in choosing healthy and active lifestyles. We seek to increase and sustain rates of cycling as a way to address challenges related to chronic physical inactivity and transportation inequity.
