Portable water education kits known as “H20 To Go” that can be used at home or with youth groups. There are five kits, each with a unique theme and activities and games inspired by the Peterborough Children’s Water Festival.

Each “H20 To Go” kit contains a collection of themed activities, instructions, and children’s books that facilitate learning about water for group sizes from 2 to 15. Five different themed “H20 To Go” kits are available for you to try, each with unique activities and children’s books related to each theme. Activities are tailored to youth aged from 3 to 13.

Only one kit can be rented at a time. Rental periods are for one week with pickup on Saturday between 10am-2pm and return the following Saturday between 10am-2pm. Kits must be picked up and returned to the GreenUP Store at 378 Aylmer St. North, Peterborough.

Program History

The WOW program launched at the 2016 Peterborough Children’s Water Festival (PCWF), and during its operation it was well received by students and teachers. During the initial WOW program, 21 classes had the opportunity to participate, gaining the interest of many classes.

Due to teacher interest and positive feedback, funding has been provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and we are able to offer fully funded, curriculum-linked, interactive workshops to classes throughout Peterborough-area during the 2018-2021 school years.

Currently, funding for the WOW program is scheduled until the end of the 2021 school year, after which the program will not be funded.

Ensure your class has the opportunity to access the WOW program by registering today!
