We’re all familiar with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The hottest deals of the season can be found at both brick and mortar and online retailers as we search for the perfect gift for our loved ones.  After two days of intense consumerism, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, has been marked as a day to give back. Introducing Giving Tuesday, and locally, Giving Tuesday Ptbo. It is a new Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday. The “Opening day of the giving season” is a day when charities, companies, and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others.

Giving Tuesday inspires personal philanthropy and encourages bigger, better and smarter charitable giving during the holiday season, showing that the Kawarthas truly gives as good as it gets.
