Volunteers created a beautiful garden at the Brock Mission on Murray St. on Wednesday following Tuesday’s launch of the Depave Paradise project organized by Peterborough GreenUp.
The project, one of five Depave Paradise pilot projects across Canada, removed asphalt and created more green space outside the front entrance to Brock Mission. About 25 volunteers helped remove the asphalt and create the garden.
The Depave Paradise project is in partnership with GreenUp, the Brock Mission, Green Communities Canada, Intact Insurance, RBC Blue Water and TD Friends of the Environment with support from the City of Peterborough, Mortlock Construction, Drain Brothers and the Night Kitchen.
