NATURES NOCTURNES FAMILY FUN EVENING

GREENUP ECOLOGY PARK

JULY 10TH – 6:30-8:00PM

Join us from 6:30- 8:00pm, on Thursday July 10th at GreenUP Ecology Park (1899 Ashburham Dr. – next to the PUC building) to learn how YOU can help protect heirloom seeds and pollinators just by planting a few species of plants around your home and community. We will be touring GreenUP Ecology Park’s pollinator, seed saving gardens and plant nursery. Hands-on activities including pollinator searches, making seed balls that you can take home to plant, and a kids garden full of fun things to do will be available for the whole family to take part in.smbeeflower

We have all heard about the threats to bees and other pollinators. It can be overwhelming, and hard to find a way that you and your family can make a positive impact. Our knowledgeable staff at GreenUP Ecology Park, along with staff from the Peterborough Community Garden Network will be on-hand to guide educational tours, lead activities, answer questions and provide you and your family with easy, sustainable ways to build habitat and help protect pollinators and heirloom seeds throughout our community.Together, we will learn about the plants and wildlife here in our community, and make projects that you can take home to have a positive impact on our environment. All ages welcome.

Come join us Thursday evenings July 10th – August 14th at 6:30pm to experience the wonders of nature

The event will end with a fun trivia contest where contestants can win local heirloom seeds, pollinator friendly seedlings and other great prizes.
