Witchhazel
Witch-hazel gets it name from its early use as the preferred branch used by “water witches” for dowsing to locate ground water. Witch-hazel has the unusual habit of blooming in late autumn, with pale yellow, ribbon-like flowers. It has many cosmetic and medicinal uses and is know as an excellent natural astringent. Grow in a protected location.
