Recycle Rangers: Planet Protectors

The Recycle Rangers Planet Protectors Program is not currently funded. In-school workshops and performances are no longer offered.

The Recycle Rangers Planet Protectors Program was designed to help schools reduce waste by improving recycling and increasing composting; it complements lesson plans and helps to achieve EcoSchool goals.

Program History

The Recycle Rangers: Planet Protector Program was a joint initiative supported by four municipalities in the region; County of Peterborough, City of Peterborough, City of Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland County. The program was first designed and developed in 2012 by partner organization GreenUP and was open to elementary schools within these municipalities.
