Peterborough Transit’s regular routes and schedule provide a transportation option that is inexpensive, convenient, and a valuable student experience. So why not jump on Peterborough Transit for your next class trip!

Active School Travel Peterborough encourage teachers to use Peterborough Transit for a range of benefits:

• Expand the learning experience beyond your field trip destination. It is an important life skill to be able to plan a route and interpret a schedule.
• Lower the carbon footprint and the cost of your class trips by taking public transit.
• Increase familiarity and comfort with transit, so riding the bus can feel more normal and accessible.
• Public transit is currently free for youth!

Active School Travel Peterborough can help you get on the bus by:

• Assist with route planning and interpreting the transit schedule;
• Providing a short presentation to students on why to take transit, how to use transit, and more;
• Providing additional classroom materials that can support learning;
• Providing Day Passes* for adult riders;
• Liaising with Peterborough Transit.
