Wonders Of Water

Wonders of Water (WOW) is a water education program dedicated to sharing the fun and importance of water into local classrooms and homes. There are two components of the program that you can access depending on your needs:

  • Facilitated classroom program that includes two curriculum linked visits, an engaging activity booklet that uses math and literacy to extend learning, and a take home conservation kit for each student.
  • Community bins that can be used at home or with youth groups, each bin is themed and includes activities and games inspired by the Peterborough Children’s Water Festival.

Both programs are currently fully funded through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, so don’t delay and register today by clicking on the buttons, below!

Program History

The WOW program launched at the 2016 Peterborough Children’s Water Festival (PCWF), and during it’s operation it was well received by students and teachers. During the initial WOW program, 21 classes had the opportunity to participate, gaining the interest of many classes.

Due to teacher interest and positive feedback, funding has been provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and we are able to offer fully funded, curriculum-linked, interactive workshops to classes throughout Peterborough-area during the 2018-2021 school years.

Currently, funding for the WOW program is scheduled until the end of the 2021 school year, after which the program will not be funded.

Ensure your class has the opportunity to access the WOW program by registering today!
