Sugar Rush A Sweet Success

The evening of November 12th was the sweetest night of 2014 in Peterborough. GreenUP’s Sugar Rush fundraiser was a huge success. Close to 150 GreenUP supporters attended the event, enjoying decadent desserts and other sweet and savoury treats while having the chance to interact with the chef’s and bakers who prepared them.

The focus of the evening was local food and promoting many of the wonderful chefs and bakers who we have right in our own city. Each chef prepared their own delicious “green-themed” dessert to sample, purchase and take home. There really was something for all tastes. GreenUP also gave away some great prizes during the evening, donated by our very supportive business community.

Delicious desserts aside, Sugar Rush also served as a means of celebrating and thanking our many tireless volunteers and supporters (people like you!) who through gifts of time or money, help to make each program and service we offer to the community a tremendous success.
